LIQUOR LICENSING > SMALL VENUE LICENCE

Small Venue Licence

Overview

A small venue licence is available in South Australia to support small businesses such as bars, restaurants, art galleries and live music venues.

It’s important to note that this licence is only available within the central business district, but it may be extended to include other areas in the future.

The small venue licence aims to provide flexibility and a new streamlined process for small venue licence applications.

This is to encourage entrepreneurs to develop small businesses without the potential difficulties and costs associated with existing licences. It also aims to encourage small venues to host live music.

Allowing licensed small venues will help make Adelaide a more vibrant and interesting place.
