COVID-19 is having a significant impact on South Australian consumers and businesses and how CBS delivers services.
Currently, pubs, clubs, TAB outlets and casinos are closed and you will not be able to play electronic gaming machines or bet in outlets. However, you may still be able to access online betting platforms and purchase lottery tickets.
Barring from online betting and lotteries
If you have concerns about your online betting and/or the purchasing of lottery products, you can bar yourself.
To ensure the safety of our staff and customers, the decision has been made to restrict access to our office.
Instead you can contact Consumer and Business Services by:
- Phone or text on 0427 051 300
- Email gamblingadministration [at] sa.gov.au
You will need to provide the following details:
- your full name
- date of birth
- email address
- contact number
- list of online betting or lottery providers (or you can nominate to be barred from 'all online betting and lottery' licensed in SA)
- a photo of identification (eg your drivers licence) so that CBS can verify your identity.
These barrings are for a period of 3 years, with a minimum barring period of 12 months.
Once your barring has been processed, you will be emailed a letter confirming your barring request.
I'm concerned about a family or friend
If you are concerned about a family member of friend's gambling, you can contact Consumer and Business Services regarding third party barring options.
Email gamblingadministration [at] sa.gov.au or by phone on 0427 051 300.
