The playing of gaming machines is not permitted on Good Friday.

While changes have been made to the Liquor Licensing laws that now allow venues to trade in liquor on Good Friday, Gaming Machines still cannot operate at any time on Good Friday.

Machines will be turned off at midnight and cannot be turned back on until 12.01am on Saturday, at the earliest. What time the machines can be turned back on Saturday will depend on the licensed hours set for the venue.

For venues with UBET facilities (ie PubTAB), transactions cannot be processed through the UBET terminal on Good Friday, and any TV screens televising racing should be turned off.

Members with SA Lotteries terminals should check their lotteries agreements.
