CBS updates
2 October 2020

From 12.01am, Saturday October 3, patrons at licensed venues will be able to consume alcohol while standing in outdoor areas of the licenced premises.

The capacity in each area remains at 1 person per 2 square metres and physical distancing measures need to be maintained and monitored by a COVID Marshal.

Patrons can stand while consuming alcohol at sportsgrounds such as ovals, unless your COVID Management Plan specifically requires seated consumption of alcohol.

Private functions at licensed premises

Stand up drinking and dancing will be allowed for indoor and outdoor private functions held in licensed premises. They must be pre-booked, invitation only functions, such as weddings or birthdays held in a separate area of the premises not open to the public.

The maximum capacity at the private function is 150 people. A COVID Marshal must be present and a contact tracing register of guests will also need to be maintained.

Daylight savings changes come into effect on Sunday October 4, with clocks moving forward one hour early Sunday morning.

The late night restricted entry will be adjusted to take effect from 4am (daylight savings time). This is for this day only.
