South Australia’s Regulations relating to land valuers are being updated from 1 September 2024.

Changes ensure the most up to date university subjects to become a land valuer are included, along with current professional membership categories.

Importantly, the update to qualifications does not remove any qualifications referred to in the past Regulations, as these may still be relied on by those who qualified previously.

The new Land Valuers Regulations 2024 (now available online) include minor updating of legislative references and section numbering along with minor changes to regulation 4 regarding qualifications.

The Government of South Australia has consulted with industry bodies to ensure no unforeseen impacts occur. These include the Australian Property Institute, University of South Australia, Real Estate Institute of South Australia and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
