A handy new reference for residential park owners and residents is now available.

The question and answer style fact sheet simply explains some key responsibilities of park owners, requirements around fees and payments as well as how residents can work together to influence park safety, rules and behaviour standards with owners.

It’s a timely opportunity to address questions relating to the laws in South Australia when some parks may have changed hands in recent years.

It’s also just over three years since reforms to the South Australian Residential Parks Act 2007 commenced.

After more than a decade, the changes effectively modernised SA law by recognising the changes in residential park living that had evolved over time.

The changes provided security of tenure and safety for residents living in residential parks, whilst ensuring park owners could continue to operate sustainable businesses without unnecessary additional red tape.

The Residential Parks Q&A Fact sheet can be found along with information booklets for both park owners and residents, fillable forms and agreement templates that are available for use on the sa.gov.au website.
