The Australian Consumer Law (ACL) is a national law covering consumer protection and fair trading.

The ACL is:

  • enforced by all Australian (including state and territory) courts and tribunals.

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) regulates consumer protection in relation to financial products and services.
