Consumer and Business Services has rolled out online forms for most applications under the Associations Incorporation Act 1985.

The new online forms will ensure better and more timely management of applications. Please note that where payment is required, it will need to be made by card prior to the application being submitted.

The new forms are accessible by visiting the SA.GOV.AU website.

From 4 September 2023, applications received in a form other than the online forms at the above link may be returned without being processed.

If you need help making an online application, use this booking calendar to make an appointment with one of our Associations Team members who can assist with in-person or over-the-phone appointments.

You can also update the details of your association online.

Our role

CBS is able to assist with general matters regarding incorporated associations, including advice on the legislative requirements for incorporated associations and compliance against any legislative requirements under the Act.

It cannot, however, assist in matters relating to internal disputes – including conflicts between members. In these instances, you may wish to seek independent legal advice.

Please keep this in mind when contacting the Associations Team.
